A little Spring Cleaning...

Hello! I am 5 days post surgery and getting a little better each day. I have done a lot of thinking, researching and thinking some more while laying here in bed. I have decided to make some pretty significant changes to Happy Hippo. For starters, I will be cleaning up the number of items that are being offered going forward. I had switched to a Print on Demand model last year to minimize the amount of inventory I had to keep on hand but it has not really served me well this past year. I thought this model would make things easier for me since I wouldn't have to handle the making, packing and shipping parts of each order but I have been faced with a lot of other issues that are just down right frustrating by out sourcing the making of the items. I enjoy the designing portion a lot and outsourcing allowed me to still work my Nursing job and do the designing in my spare time. Quitting my Nursing job is just not an option at this time but I will somehow figure out a way to make it all work together now that I plan to create, make and ship everything in house again. That will probably mean less variety of items but it will allow for better quality, more unique items, cheaper shipping rates, and overall happy people.  My plan is to keep the apparel and tote bags as they are fan favorites but most accessories, home decor, and non apparel items will be discontinued. I will expand my Candle and Wax Melts in the Spring as well. There will be some hiccups as we make this transition next month but I will always do my best to communicate with anyone who has placed an order when hiccups arise to keep them informed. 

Thank you, Thank you for being here. Your support always means so very much to me. I have a few more weeks before I am back at work and at least another week before I can start really doing any significant creating.  I cannot wait! My brain tells me I can do more but my body quickly reminds me to simmer down, I am not there yet. :-) I will get there though.
